Creamy Chocolate Mousse
Serves 2
Ingredients (muffins)
- 50g GALAXY® Hot Chocolate Powder
- 25ml/1 ˝ tbsp Boiling water
- 75ml Whipping Cream
- 1 egg, separated *
- Extra whipped cream and grated chocolate for decoration (optional)
Preparation
Mix the GALAXY® Hot Chocolate Powder and boiling water in a large mixing bowl until a smooth paste is formed. Beat in the egg yolks.
In a separate bowl, whisk the whipping cream until peaks form. Fold into the chocolate mixture gradually with a metal spoon.
In a third bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form. Fold into the chocolate-cream mixture with a metal spoon, a third at a time. Divide evenly between 2 dessert glasses and place into fridge for 2-3 hours or until set.
Pipe with whipped cream and sprinkle on grated chocolate to serve.
* It is advised that because of a very slight risk of salmonella, vulnerable people such as the elderly, babies and pregnant women should not eat products containing raw eggs.
